Do you like mysteries and puzzles and solving clues? Are you a fan of escape rooms, or the “box escape” genre of board games? If so, we think you’ll love Unboxed! In this unique twist on the genre, players work together to learn the rules of 10 different board games from a distant past. The best part is, once solved, you’ll have a bunch new mini games you can hold on to instead of discarding all the pieces when you’re finished!
In Unboxed, you and your friends take on the role of archeology interns under the direction of Dr. Ramos. At the dig site, the team has uncovered ten caches of ancient board games and they need your help to figure out how they were played. The centuries have not been kind to the rulebooks, so you’ll have to infer the rules based on each game’s symbology, components, and your own experience and intuition.
